Canada deeply values family unity. As a citizen or permanent resident, you have the privilege of sponsoring your loved ones for permanent residency. However, navigating between IRCC requirements and MIFI specifics in Quebec can be a complex journey.
Our firm secures your file to facilitate a thorough, professional submission that meets the highest standards of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
1- Spouse, common-law, or conjugal partner
This priority program allows your partner to join you. We analyze the best strategy for your case:
2- Dependent or adopted children
Secure the future of your children under the age of 22. We also manage complex adopted children sponsorship cases.
IRCC Fees: starting from $170.
3- Parents and grandparents (PGP)
This program currently operates by invitation. If you haven't been selected, we activate the Super visa alternative, allowing for stays of up to 5 consecutive years.
IRCC Fees: starting from $1,205.
4- Other family members
In exceptional cases, you may sponsor orphaned brothers, sisters, nephews, or nieces, subject to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).
If you reside in Quebec, you must obtain provincial approval following federal eligibility.
What is the processing time for sponsorship in 2026?
The standard processing time shown by IRCC is approximately 12 months for a spouse. However, this varies based on file complexity and the visa office.
Can I sponsor if I am unemployed?
At the federal level, there is no minimum income to sponsor a spouse or child, as long as you are not receiving social assistance (other than for a disability). In Quebec, income criteria apply if the sponsored child has a dependent child of their own.
What evidence is needed to prove a genuine relationship?
IRCC requires tangible proof: photos, joint bank accounts, proof of cohabitation, travel records, and testimonials. Lack of evidence is the number one cause of refusal.
Don't let a paperwork error keep you away from the ones you love.
